 The Destroyers took to the ice the first time as a whole team since last summer. The Destroyers started strong with new signing Andy (hibidy) Hills opening the scoring after just 3 minutes into the first. The goals poured in during the first period with 4 goals from Kieran Wilson and three from player coach Kevin Cave the first period ended with the Destroyers leading 11-0. The Destroyers came out just as strong in the second period, novice netminder John Booth played a brilliant period stopping everything the eagles threw at him,Stephen Knightley put his name on the score sheet as did Adam Lappin ,Paul Nevin and Jordan Throop netted twice. The third period was played at a slower pace and the Cardiff Eagles managed to pull two back but the Destroyers replied with another two gaols. Game ended 17-2 Destroyers.
